can purchase cannabis from licensed cultivation and processing facilities and dispense medical cannabis to registered patients.

PROGRAM

HISTORY

Missouri legalize medical marijuana in 2018. By 2020, the state issued the following business licenses: 60 Cultivation, 86 Manufacturing, 92 Dispensary, and 2 Testing. As of May 2020, there were over 51,000 patients certified in Missouri, with a steady increase of 1,200 patients per month.

QUALIFYING

CONDITIONS

In order to qualify for the program, a Patient must obtain a physician certification indicating that s/he has been diagnosed with one of the following qualifying Medical conditions:

  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV or AIDS
  • A terminal illness
  • Hepatitis C
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Autism
  • Neuropathies
  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Cachexia or wasting syndrome
  • Intractable migraines unresponsive to other treatment
  • Multiple sclerosis, seizures, Parkinson’s disease, and Tourette’s syndrome
  • Post-Traumatic Stress order, if diagnosed by a state licensed psychiatrist
  • A chronic medical condition that is normally treated with a prescription medication that could lead to physical or psychological dependence
